Abstract: 

Purpose: To report visual and anatomical outcome of flap LOSS after LASIK surgery for correction of high myopia. Materials & Methods: Retrospective evaluation of flap LOSS in two eyes of two patients, a rare complication of LASIK Surgery. Case No. 1: 27 y/o woman with Ref. OD -9.75; 2.75*177 VA. CC: 20/60 KR OD: 41.86*77 39.86 * 168 & partial amblyopia due to anisometropia. Case No. 2: 38 y/o woman with Ref OD. -9.50 1.0*177 VA CC: 20/30 KR OD: 42.06*77 40.99 * 167. Results: In both patients during LASIK surgery free cap complication occurred and after Laser therapy free cap positioned over the stromal bed, but the next day after operation flaps were lost. For case NO.1only medical management performed and after 4.5 years F/U cornea has 2° central haziness. For case NO.2 another corneal flap from donor globe cut and sutured with Nylon 10/0 and after 18 months F/U cornea is clear. Conclusion: In patients with flat keratometry less than 41.0 Diopter rate of free cap are high and after laser therapy for high myopia the keratometry became more flat. If surgeon doesn't suture flap the rate of flap LOSS increase so for prevent of corneal haziness and corneal ectazia this evaluation suppose to perform donor corneal flap graft.

Abstract: 

A successful drilling operation depends strongly on a useful drilling FLUID system. Using nanoparticles (NP)s to formulate intelligent drilling FLUIDs gives them a wide range of optimal properties under different operating conditions and resolves any operational problems. In this study, in order to provide an effective solution for improving the rheological and high pressure/high temperature (HPHT) filtration properties of the oilbased drilling FLUID (OBDF), copper oxide (CuO) NPs were synthesized with dandelion morphology. CuO dandelions were characterized by using XRD, FTIR, SEM, and zeta potential measurements. A long time stabilized nanoFLUID (NF) was prepared and evaluated. The OBDF samples consisting of various amounts of NF ranging from 1 to 11% (V/V) were prepared. Then, the FLUID LOSS and rheological properties of OBDF were examined. The results showed that the OBDF containing 7% (V/V) NF was appropriate to improve the rheological properties such as yield point (YP), apparent viscosity (AV), and gel strength (GS). In addition, the minimum HPHT filtration value of 2 ml was acquired for the drilling FLUID containing 9% (V/V) NF. In conclusion, CuO NPs demonstrated a positive effect on the performance of the OBDF system.

Abstract: 

Environmental protection during drilling is necessary for onshore oil and gas development. With the available additives, it is impossible to design a drilling FLUID system that is both efficient and environmentally friendly. Nevertheless, due to their high cost and complicated manufacturing procedure, several environmentally friendly drilling FLUID additives cannot be utilised widely. This study used broad bean peel powder (BBPP) as a drilling FLUID additive to improve drilling FLUID performance. All the necessary experimental tests for rheology and filtration were conducted in an ambient condition. According to the results, BBPP reduced the drilling FLUID's alkalinity by 10–39% and enhanced its rheological characteristics (plastic viscosity, gel strength). However, the BBPP had a negligible effect on other properties, including mud weight and yield point. Furthermore, adding fine (FBBPP) and Medium (MBBPP) broad bean peel powder improved the filtration properties of the reference mud. However, FBBPP was more effective in reducing the filter cake thickness and FLUID LOSS from 1.75 mm and 20.4 mL to 1.0 mm and 13.3 mL, respectively. The ability of BBPP to improve rheological properties and decrease filtration properties makes them beneficial to a successful drilling operation.

Abstract: 

DRILLING MUD IS AN IMPORTANT FLUID IN DRILLING OPERATIONS AND IS DIRECTLY RELATED TO DRILLING PROBLEMS. IF THE DRILLING MUD DOES NOT HAVE THE PROPER PROPERTIES, IT WOULD BE DIFFICULT TO DRILL IN THE DRILLING OPERATION. THUS, THE NEED TO USE FLUIDS LIMITING OPERATIONAL PROBLEMS, AND IMPROVING DRILLING AND SAVING TIME AND MONEY IS CLEARLY FELT. MOREOVER, TODAY THE PHENOMENON OF FLUID-LOSS OF DRILLING INTO CRACKED FORMATIONS HAS BECOME A MAJOR CHALLENGE FOR THE DRILLING INDUSTRY. HEAVY COSTS SUCH AS LOSS OF DRILLING TIME, EXCESSIVE CONSUMPTION OF MATERIALS, UNPROFESSIONAL CONTROL TECHNIQUES AND LOW PRODUCTIVITY ARE OF THE PROBLEMS NEEDED TO COPE WITH THIS PROBLEM. THE STUDY TYPE IS APPLIED AND DESCRIPTIVE-ANALYTIC REGARDING RESEARCH METHOD CONDUCTED IN CASE STUDY DESIGN. DATA COLLECTION METHOD IS DOCUMENTATION AND LIBRARY STUDY. THE STUDY FIRST EXPLAINED THE TYPES OF DRILLING MUD AND ITS ADDITIVES AND ITS IMPACT ON DRILLING QUALITY. THEN, IT WAS CONCLUDED THAT KNOWING THE TYPE OF DRILLING FLUID AND ITS ADDITIVES AND ITS CHOICE TO REDUCE THE COST OF DRILLING AND INCREASE THE EFFICIENCY HAVE A GREAT IMPACT ON THE DRILLING QUALITY. MOREOVER, THE EFFECT OF POLYMER ADDITIVES, NANOCOMPOSITES AND INDUSTRIAL POWDERS ON THE REDUCTION OF LOSS WAS INVESTIGATED SHOWING THAT THE ADDITION OF NANOCOMPOSITES AND POLYMERIC MATERIALS REDUCES THE THICKNESS OF SLUDGING AND FLUID LOSS AND ALSO INCREASES THE VISCOSITY OF DRILLING MUD AND CAN BE VERY EFFECTIVE IN INCREASING PRODUCTIVITY AND REDUCING COSTS.

Abstract: 

زمینه و هدف: این تحقیق به بررسی نحوه پراکنش آلاینده های ناشی از سناریو اشتعال انبار نفت با استفاده از نرم افزار انسیس فلوینت پرداخته است و برای اولین بار در کشور سناریوهای خطرناک و غیرمنتظره انفجار و اشتعال در سایت های نفتی را با استفاده ازاین نرم افزار مورد بررسی قرار داده و هدفش حفظ دارایی ها جانی و مالی مناطق اطراف انبار نفت است. مواد و روش ها: به منظور تعیین میزان آلاینده های حاصل از سوختن مخازن، از نرم افزار Ansys Fluent 15 استفاده شد. این نرم افزار پارامترهای موثر سرعت، جهت باد، دمای محیط، میزان انتشار آلاینده ها و پایداری جو را درنظرگرفته و می تواند غلظت آلاینده های گوناگون را در فواصل مختلف از انبارها پیش بینی نماید. نتایج خروجی این نرم افزار وارد محیط مشینگ شد و درنهایت نقشه پراکندگی آلودگی در محدوده ای به وسعت چهار کیلومتر تا ارتفاع 200 متر به دست آمد. یافته ها: در این پژوهش، تاثیر اشتعال و انفجار انبار نفت بر روی محیط زیست و محیط مسکونی اطراف محوطه انبار مورد تحلیل عددی قرار گرفت. با توجه به جمع بندی نتایج در شرایط بحرانی که سرعت وزش باد بالا باشد، جهت وزش باد تاثیر بسزایی در مناطق تحت تاثیر خواهد داشت، بطوری که افزایش دمای تا حدود 60 درجه سلسیوس و بالاتر و نیز غلظت آلاینده های CO, CO2, NOX, SO2 همگی در فواصلی حدود 800 متر تا یک کیلومتر در مناطق انبار غله کرج، شهرک بنفشه، رزکان نو، محوطه راه آهن کرج، سرحدآباد و شهرک وحدت با توجه به جهت وزش باد به میزان 30 تا 40 درصد بالاتر از استاندارد، مورد انتظار است. نتیجه گیری: نتایج این تحقیق نشان داد اگر آتش سوزی در مخازن رخ دهد. مناطق مسکونی و صنعتی مختلفی در مسیر پخش و پراکنش آلودگی بسیار بالاتر از حد استاندارد می باشند. با توجه به شدت آلودگی تولیدشده و وسعت مناطق درگیر بیماری های تنفسی، خسارت های جانی و مالی قابل پیش بینی است.

Abstract: 

Background & Objective: Current study was conducted to determine the effects of Oxytocin drip on operative blood LOSS and FLUID overload during hysteroscopy. Materials & Methods: In this double-blind randomized clinical trial, 54 women with abnormal uterine bleeding who were candidates for hysteroscopy were consecutively enrolled and randomly assigned to receive either oxytocin or normal saline and the alterations in serum hemoglobin, sodium, albumin, and hematocrit were compared between two groups. Results: The results demonstrated that alterations in serum hemoglobin, sodium, albumin, and hematocrit did not significantly differ between the two groups (P>0. 05). Conclusion: It seems using oxytocin drip during hysteroscopy in patients with intrauterine lesions would have no effect on operative blood LOSS and FLUID overload.

Abstract: 

ما در این مقاله با توجه به مزایای زمان بندی سلسله مراتبی یک روش جدید سلسله مراتبی با استفاده از (start-time Fair Queuing) SFQ و E-LOSS را پیشنهاد می کنیم که ضمن تامین QOs جریانهای ترافیکی بلادرنگ، تخصیص عادلانه پهنای باند را ممکن می سازد. روش E-LOSS نوع اصلاح شده از EDF با بافر محدود است که قابلیت مدیریت صف فعال را نیز دارا می باشد. بعبارت دیگر جریانهای ترافیکی بلادرنگ در این طرح می توانند، کارایی تاخیر خوبی دریافت کنند. استفاده از الگوریتم SFQ بعنوان زمانبند اشتراک لینک تخصیص عادلانه پهنای باند را حتی در شرایط ترافیکی VBR امکان پذیر می نماید.نتایج شبیه سازی نشان میدهد که طرح پیشنهادی ما تقریبا کارایی تاخیری مشابه با روش E-LOSS ارائه می دهد، ضمن آنکه تخصیص پهنای باند عادلانه ترین را بین کلاس ترافیکی بلادرنگ و کلاس ترافیکی best-effort نسبت به روش E-LOSS ارائه می دهد و ضمنا پهنای باند بیکار و اضافی را نیز همانند روش SFQ عادلانه بکار می گیرد.

Abstract: 

Purpose: Report a case of iatrogenic medial rectus LOSS in exotropia surgery and its management with review literature.Case Report: A 14-year-old female with a history of cerebral palsy and left exotropia underwent strabismus surgery in another center when she was 7 years old. As her surgeon reported, after 8 mm medial rectus resection, it was lost and he could not retrieve it; so, to balance the forces of adduction and abduction, the surgeon disinserted left lateral rectus, but 2 months later, because of large angle exotropia and severe limitation in adduction, she was referred to this center. We explored the area and could not find the lost medial rectus; so, half tendon transposition of superior rectus and inferior rectus to the previous insertion site of medial rectus was performed and left lateral rectus was fixated to the lateral orbital periosteum. Two months after the operation, she was orthotropic and ocular movements were significantly balanced.Conclusion: Half tendon transposition of vertical recti to the site of lost medial rectus associated with periosteal fixation of lateral rectus can improve the strabismus of lost medial rectus muscle.
